Wrath of the Giro - Final Results

The pink dust is settling from the excellent weekend of racing in Italy. All the results are below, but here is our podium for the overall event:

Third: Eat Gyros, Win Giros  - Alex Hooke - 4702
A rookie fantasy cyclist, Alex Hooke showed he has what it takes to perform over a three week fantasy cycling event. He lost two of his most valued riders within the first four stages but persevered. Eat Gyros, Win Giros was the only fantasy cyclist to pick the top two steps of the podium. These picks carried him to his own podium placing.

Second: MOTO MAN - Justin Rath - 5292
The original fantasy cyclist put on a clinic for how to peak in the third week. As highlighted previously, sitting in the Lanterne Rouge spot half way through the race then finishing second is easier said than done. His secret? Pick as many top five GC riders as possible. Mr. Rath had three riders finish in the top five and six in the top 20 overall. This quiet patience and knowledge of the weight placed on the final scoring is a lesson we could all learn from - he jumped from 6th to 2nd with the final placings calculated!

First - Pink Panthers - Ryan Buus - 5895
The most complete fantasy cycling team won the race. Pink Panthers lived up to the name by having the pink jersey wearer for all but five of the 21 stages, won eight stages, finished second six times and third three times.
