Wrath of la Vuelta - Stage 4 Results

Stage four was another exciting one. A climber wins. Sparticus gets seconds. A sprinter in third. Who could have predicted that? Great question.

What I do know is that every fantasy cyclist except for one has been on the podium for the Wrath of la Vuelta. Lizzy, we all know you have fanatasy cycling running through your veins, but things haven't quite been working out for you. The good news is that you are ahead of two solid competitors who are expert fantasy cyclists.

Two groups are forming... 60ish points separate the top 5. 120ish points separate the bottom three. 110ish points lie between the groups. Will the bottom three of Flo Ridas - Lizzy, No Basso - Scott Bromelkamp, and Moto Man - Justin Rath turn their luck around?

Wrath of la Vuelta Challenge

The rider list is still in limbo, but fantasy cycling can only wait so long.

No rider values folks. Pick the best team you can. Race starts Saturday so get your picks in as soon as you can. Late entries are accepted if you don't cheat.

Good luck!

The people have spoken

Vuelta a España here we come!

Last year it was arguably the most exciting grand tour of the year.  This year the route and number of contenders could duplicate the success of the 2012 Vuelta.

Can you put your names in the record books with other grand tour fantasy winners?  This could be your chance!

Start doing your homework to get your team ready to rule the Vuelta.

PS. There is a nice race starting on the 19th in Colorado. Lots of big names and lots of young faces should make for some good racing.

The next great competition.

So, are you in or are you in? What will the next great fantasy cycling competition be? Two options to decide from. This your shot for redemption!

I won't have time to make up rider values for either option so we will use the free-for-all rider selection process.  This means you pick whoever you want with the only limits being GC, sprinter, and maybe climber categories.

Scoring will be the same as le Tour, except that if we do the USA Pro Challenge the final result scores will be cut by about a third.

Votes will be tallied on Thursday (8/15).
